Danny McLaren Retires & Chris White takes over

After 10 years working for United Steel Danny McLaren has put away his tape measure, and gone off to enjoy long days on the Golf Course. We know a number of customers will miss Danny, and his willingness to come on site to work through those missing details from the foundation drawings. We wish Danny well in his retirement and we all thank him for his many years of service to the reinforcing industry.
Chris White has taken over from Danny and is now managing all aspects of Cut & Bend quoting & supply. Chris has many years’ experience in the construction industry, being the General Manager of a construction related company for 15 years. Chris will be utilising his BSc in Management Science to streamline and make further improvements to our Cut & Bend Service. Chris is excited about the challenges of the new job and in particular working within the reinforcing area of the Steel Industry.
Assisting Chris will be Tim Cook, whom many of you already know. Tim has 14 years in the steel industry and studied Quantity Surveying at Christchurch Polytech. Tim has recently been promoted to Customer Services Manager in Christchurch, after 3 years on the road visiting customers throughout the South Island.
